SUV M5 sensor module

The M5 UV sensor module is intended for the monitoring of sources of UV radiation in air. Its construction permits simple installation with just two drill-holes behind room separators, screens, etc. The active ingredient is a SiC (silicon carbide) UV diode. Without complicated selection procedures, the module will ensure that radiation from outside the UV range is suppressed. A coaxial cable, fixed permanently to the module, is provided to permit the relevant evaluation equipment, such as DUV series UV monitors to be connected. Room separators and the like, which prevent the escape of the UV radiation and protect the sensor and its cable from direct irradiation, are suitable to install the module on. There must be two holes drilled in this screen for the installation. One hole is to attach the module and the second is to insert the UV diode in (plus insulation). The cable can be supplied with the correct plug for the evaluation device if desired. To ensure that the UV intensity recording is accurate, the window admitting the UV light must be prevented from getting dirty and if necessary cleaned regularly.
