UVX is the exclusive name of our UV amalgam lamps with maximally increased power. Compared with conventional low-pressure lamps, UVX lamps render up to three times more – at the same UVC efficiency! Aside from the main UV wavelength of 253.7 nm, UVX lamps – like all other low-pressure lamps – can as well emit at 184.9 nm. Optionally, 3 different kinds of quartz are available: PN 235 (ozone-free), PN (ozone-generating) and PS (highly ozone-generating). UVX amalgam lamps are suited for all applications in air or water. When using these power increased lamps, attention should be paid to an appropriate cooling. UVX lamps are the right choice for very compact and powerful UV systems providing high efficiency in combination with a remarkably long lamp lifetime.
